Mordialloc Beach Wedding Photography
18th December 2013
It’s a sunny autumn afternoon in Melbourne and we are off to Mordialloc to photograph Alex (Alexandra) and James’ wedding.
We had the pleasure to photograph them on St Kilda beach for their engagement shoot and now we are on the beach again to photograph their wedding.
The day starts in Alex’s hotel room where we photograph her getting ready in the company of her bridesmaids and parents.
Her bubbly personality makes our Bridal Photography session a fun filled event.
We rush to Mordialloc Beach to meet James and get a few formal shots of him and his groomsmen before the start of the ceremony.
It is a very moving ceremony; we get many shots of the couple (and their mums) drying happy tears.
Once they have been declared man and wife, we climb the Mordialloc Rotunda to get a group shot.
After the traditional family pictures we step on the beach for the Formal Wedding Photography.
Formal is probably not the correct term. Our couple and their bridal party love to have a laugh so we capture many shots of them goofing around on the beach and a few more posed formal shots while the sun is setting.
There is something magical about the light of a Melbourne sunset in autumn!
One of the reasons for choosing Mordialloc Beach for their wedding was the Rotunda.
As the sun has already set, we get fantastic night shots of our couple on the Rotunda.
With the sun gone and the temperature dropping, we are glad to move to the reception, held conveniently close to the beach, at Windows on the Bay.
