Unconventional Wedding Photography In Melbourne from the Elopement Specialists
24th May 2014
As our readers will know by now, we love to photograph weddings at the Melbourne Registry office.
Influenced by the elegant European architectural styles of the time, the Old Treasury Building is regarded as one of Australia’s finest nineteenth-century buildings.
It is the perfect wedding venue for couples who want an intimate wedding and the chance to stray from tradition.
It is the case with our gorgeous couple on this blog post, Larissa and Jeremy.
You don’t get to see often a bride in an elegant black cocktail dress and vivid red shoes, but in the “old world” setting of the Melbourne Registry office, even if it may not be traditional bridal wear, her charming style is a perfect fit.
Jeremy, our lovely groom, pulls off the perfect balance between elegance and casual cool with his black suit, white shirt and no tie.
The other reason for Larissa and Jeremy’s choice to marry at the Melbourne Registry Office and to engage Amarcord Photography to capture their romantic wedding is the fact that they are eloping.
Another secret wedding for the Elopement to Melbourne and the Melbourne Registry Office Specialists, Amarcord Photography.
As in a few previous occasions, we have the honour to be the only people invited to attend the ceremony and therefore to be also the witnesses.
We feel privileged to be the only people witnessing the romantic union of this couple and as photographers, we relish the opportunity to have such beautiful subjects all to ourselves without distractions.
Once they tie the knot, we go on a stroll through the Treasury gardens, the neighbouring Fitzroy Gardens for the Formal Wedding Photography to finish up the photo shoot at their hotel.
They have chosen the old world charm of the Windsor Hotel for their stay in Melbourne and we are delighted to be able to photograph again inside this historic Melbourne landmark.
The historic locations and the elegant dress sense of this gorgeous couple suit perfectly our nostalgic style photography.
Lots of love to the lovely Larissa and Jeremy and congratulations.
PS: Don’t tell anyone. It’s a secret
