Property Photography – Position Perfect

30th January 2013

We have been commissioned by a company called Position Perfect to photograph some of their short term rental properties, in St Kilda and in Brunswick and we are very happy with the results and so is our client. Andrea, our principal photographer, has a passion for architectural photography which she pursues in her spare time, so it was a nice change for her to pursue this interest professionally.
The first assignment was to photograph their properties in St Kilda. The properties were located on the ground floor of a Victorian house. We were blown away by the decor which struck the right balance between modern and antique by preserving some period features like the Victorian fireplaces, cornices and the ceiling roses mixed with the modern architectural solutions implemented to maximise the use of natural light. As an example, in the kitchen of one of the apartments, the light of an inner courtyard comes in through a window behind the kitchen bench.

The second assignment was to photograph the properties in Brunswick. Again we were amazed by the clever design that maximises the use of the natural light and exploits the best feature of this location, the amazing city views. The most interesting unit is at the back of the block and is called The Dome, due to the curved back wall. Our favourite feature is The Dome’s terrace, which allows at the same time to enjoy the fresh air and provides protection from the elements. If you are coming to Melbourne for a short stay, we highly recommend to check out Position Perfect.
