Hello from Amarcord Photography, Wedding Photographer Melbourne
15th October 2011
And so after several years we have ourselves a shiny new blog. What is a blog exactly? Wikipedia defines it as an online diary with the term itself a shortend version of ‘web log’. The Oxford dictionary describes it as a personal website or web page on which an individual records opinions, links to other sites, etc. on a regular basis. My personal favourite though is from the Urban Dictionary – Short for weblog. A meandering, blatantly uninteresting online diary that gives the author the illusion that people are interested in their stupid, pathetic life. Consists of such riveting entries as “homework sucks” and “I slept until noon today.”
This being our first entry I will tell you a little about us….
Amarcord Photography found its way into existence after the wedding of our dear friends in December 2008. Having taken 700 photos as a guest and keeping a curious eye on the hired professional for the day I came to realise that although I thought I’d retired from the wedding photography business a few years earlier, in my heart I had not. Two weeks later we registered Amarcord and the rest is history.
As with all new businesses things don’t happen overnight so for the first twelve months we worked tirelessly to revamp the folio, build the website and get the name out there. It’s been almost three years since we decided to get back into the wedding photography game and it’s been the best decision we ever made. We’ve met so many wonderful people and been to so many beautiful places. It’s hard work for sure, but ever so rewarding!
