Elopement Destination Wedding in Melbourne

10th October 2013

We are becoming quite popular with interstate couples who choose Melbourne for their Destination Wedding.

Sally and Jason have eloped from New South Wales to marry in Melbourne.

We meet on the steps of the Melbourne Registry Office. They are a bit early for their ceremony so we have some time to take a few photos to break the ice and get them comfortable in front of the camera.

We take some interesting shots incorporating our couple, their rings and the architecture behind them.

Sally and Jason are just naturals and they give us immediately their best smiles. It’s a great start for this Wedding Photography session.

A brief ceremony seals their union.

Sally drops the ring and she has a good chuckle.

We congratulate them and and we perform our duty as witnesses, as we are the only people present. It’s our chance to be on the other side of the camera and we flash our best cheesy smile for the occasion.

We take another few shots of our lovely couple as they come out of the Melbourne Registry Office as man and wife.

We see the old Circle Tram approaching and we get our beautiful couple on the tracks to capture them with this Melbourne icon.

Sally and Jason asked us to pick a few Melbourne landmarks for their Wedding Photography session and we are happy to oblige. We start from the romantic Fitzroy Gardens, a short walking distance from the Melbourne Registry Office, where we photograph our couple strolling among the trees.

They had hired a Mustang to get around town but the car broke down so they have to settle for our little Barina for the traditional photos with the “wedding car”.

Next stop, one of our favourite spots for Urban Photography, Hosier Lane, with the ever changing graffiti display.

From Hosier Lane it’s a short walk to the heart of Melbourne, the intersection of Flinders Street with Swanston Street. So many landmarks: Federation Square, Flinders Street Station, St Paul Cathedral and Chapter House Lane.

We drop our gorgeous couple to their apartment in the city and we take a snapshot of them waiving at us as we drive off. What a fun day.
